Im scared to do it too.
I am practicing lots of back rolls and slowly bouncing and then doing a back roll with my head about 1 inch from the ground

you just need to go for it...once you hit it the first time it gets easier and easier to do it.

I would not try it on your own. I hope you are refering to doing a back flip on a trampoline at a gymnastics club/centre. You should have a coach there to spot you when you are learning a new skill...

GET a spotter to help you. and if ur doin it on a tramp if you do fall back u wont hurt yourself just remember that.

look. this is how its done. you go to ur gym then somebody spots you. you take 3 giant jumps bend ur legs then put them slightly apart then put ur arms parallel with ur legs and not really throw ur head back but ur whole body back and as soon as u've gone alittle bit straighten out ur whole body. land on the tramp and then it gets easier after that and in 2-6 times u wont even need a spot or anything. and maby be working on it on the floor:eek:

I used to have this exact same fear when I was much younger, I only ever got around it with practice allowing me to adjust to the motion.
