I cant seem to land a cartwheel because both of my feet go down at the same time or my legs cross and I fall. I just started gymnastics and I need help!

If you try doing your cartwheel over a block(feet on one side, hands on the block, land your feet on the other side), and concentrate on trying to land your feet one at a time. I tell the kids I coach to try and count "one foot, two foot." when landing. Once you're comfortable doing it over a block, then try doing it on the floor.
Cartwheel mats also help with getting the right position. I had one girl with the same trouble you have, and with what I said above, her cartwheels improved almost instantly.
Hope that helps!
